Life on Hold

Hello everyone,

Well, after my 1:00 am MRI, the verdict is .......arthritis,  bone spurs, chronic plantar fascitis, thin ligaments.  No fractures; yea!  Good news, right?

We have decided to stay in Chesapeake through Christmas and then start traveling - by car - to visit family across the country.   If by Spring it looks doable we will get back to walking the American Discovery Trail. It has been wonderful spending time with David again.  He is so happy to have us here.  We have been having lots of fun!  Marilyn has been great making us feel welcome.
Thanksgiving will be spent in Ithaca with my Dad and maybe we'll get some time with Shea and Andrea.

We spent the weekend with my sister, Lynn (and Brian) in Raleigh.  My brother Dana (and Mary) surprised us by coming as well. :)  The day was so nice that we decided to sleep in their woods in the tent by the bonfire.   Really nice!   Pictures attached.

Thanks for following us so faithfully.   We will be back in February (maybe periodically before then) with updates on when we'll be back on the trail.  Until then. .......happy trails!!

Waiting

Hello to our followers!  You all have been such a support to us - just knowing that you are out there has been inspiration to us to do our very best. As you know our road has been full of beauty, fun and challenges.  We(I) feel like you've been let down because of our latest episode.   My podiatrist cannot see anything on the xrays but the pain is still there so I am waiting for an MRI.  We are staying with Marilyn and Livy until we can come up with a new plan.  We still have the desire to complete this adventure!!!

Thank you for being with us on this journey!
