We made it! The sun came out and helped melt the ice so we had smooth sailing right into Denver. Passed a field of giant windmills that was hugely amazing. And then.......The mountains! Wow! Snow packed Rocky Mountains are a sight to see! Even the air smelled good and felt good. We met up with my sister, Mimi, had lunch, grocery shopped and then had a lovely dinner over a good glass of Apothic Red. Great conversation. We are staying in her friend's house while he is in Antarctica so it is very convenient.
Tomorrow the agenda is to clean up the car and just get our bearings.
