Left Denver at 6 am and started our journey to AZ. Cool weather (20's and 30's) most of the way with gusty winds. Saw 3 antelope - nope, they weren't playing - and lots of highway signs for elk and bear. Got to Sante Fe at noon and walked around downtown for a couple of hours. Most of the shops were Beautiful jewelry stores - turquoise jewelry galore! Lots of art galleries too. Quite an expensive city!! Ate lunch at Blue Corn Café.
Drove on through Albuquerque and ended up staying in Grants, NM. Not too much here but I'm really digging the landscape. Lots of flat topped buttes and striped colors. Tomorrow we'll be in Scottsdale, AZ. Here we come, Laurie! :)
