Pretty scary morning. Left Colby, KS and got on Rt 70 only to find sheets of ice on the road. It was SOOOOO slippery and scary!! Wind and snow whipping across the highway that wasn't treated with anything and we only saw 2 plows in the 2 hours we were driving. Moving at 40 mph and less but we were all over the road. Saw a tractor trailer jack - knifed in a ditch next to us and that decided it - OFF THE ROAD!! We are in Burlington, CO (along with many other travelers who decided it wasn't worth it to drive through) hoping that by tomorrow the roads will maybe have some maintenance done on them. It's still a great journey and we WILL get to Denver - eventually.
